Larisa LaBrant,
Executive Director
RMMI Executive Director Larisa LaBrant has expanded RMMI’s services with a revamped certification program, revived apprentice program, doubled Lunch N Learn program and expanded communications and promotions activities. She has put the organization on solid financial ground and has a strategic plan in place to keep it growing strong. As a native Coloradan and Regis University graduate, LaBrant has extensive experience in the local housing market. She was formerly the Local Government Liaison for the Rocky Mountain Housing Association. With more than 15 years experience in building code technical interpreting, local government lobbying, proposal creation, client relations, and marketing, she is guiding RMMI forward, developing progress for the association and its members. Diane
Travis, LEED AP
RMMI Technical Director
Dianes background
as a teacher and an architect prepared her well for her role as
masonry industry advisor, troubleshooter, and lecturer. In addition
to fielding nearly 2,500 technical calls each year from design professionals
and contractors, Diane conducts the Institutes outreach services,
including: masonry design presentations to architects; informal
job site consultations; reviews of conceptual and detail drawings;
and development of periodic literature and case studies. Diane received her Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, 1985. In 1989, she became a registered architect in Illinois. Prior to her arrival at RMMI, Diane was a project designer with Denvers Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall. Before that, she spent four years with the local firm of Klipp Colussy Jenks DuBois as a job captain on such notable masonry projects as the Denver Central Library. Schuller, PE and David Woodham, PE
Atkinson-Noland & Associates, Inc. (ANA)
As technical consultants to the Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute,
ANA provides advice, quality control services, and educational programs
on all structural issues involved in masonry design and construction.
The firms specialties include: evaluation and assessment of
existing masonry structures; structural repair and rehabilitation;
forensic studies; and research. Michael, David and the ANA staff
are on-call to perform quality control inspections of masonry projects,
provide answers to a wide array of technical questions, and review
plans and drawings. In addition, ANA is preparing a number of RMMI
technical publications, including a Masonry Sound Barrier Wall Design

Shahnaz Jaffari, LEED AP
Technical Assistant
Shahnaz Jaffari, LEED AP, holds a master's degree in Construction Management, is a UCD graduate student of architecture and is a former owner of an architectural firm in Iran. She serves on the US Green Building West Region Council and chairs the Regional LEED Credit Task Force. She is in charge of the Rocky Mountain Masonry Institute’s members-only technical section of the Web site and also handles technical questions from architects, engineers and masons. Robyn Pederson
Administrative Assistant
Raised in the masonry industry, the 4th generation of a masonry family, Robyn grew up handling the books for her dad's masonry company. After a brief hiatus working in corporate restaurant administration, she has returned to the industry she knows and loves. Nancy Partridge
Communications Manager
A native of New Mexico, Nancy studied photography at the Colorado Institute of Art and earned her degree at Loretto Heights College in Denver. Her background includes more than 25 years in journalism and public relations, ranging from being the editor of a suburban Denver newspaper to handling public relations for a private college and a branch campus of a state university.
